1 〔通常より薄い, 少ない〕

●コーヒーは薄めに入れてください. Make my coffee on the weak [dilute] side, please. | Please don't make my coffee too strong.

●薄めの somewhat weak [thin, light]; on the weak [thin, light] side

・私は薄めの味が好きです. I like lightly seasoned food. | I prefer food that doesn't taste too strong.

2 〔薄く開けた目〕 half-closed eyes.

●薄目を開ける open one's eyes slightly

・薄目を開けてそっと見る look 《at it》 with half-closed eyes [with one's eyes slightly open].
